The Club Fitting Specialist at GGA plays a vital role in helping golfers optimize their performance through tailored equipment solutions. This position involves conducting professional club fittings, analyzing player performance, and providing knowledgeable recommendations on golf clubs, shafts, grips, and accessories. As needed, this role will also support the implementation of curriculum and training plans for the junior golf programs.

Additionally, the role includes driving sales of equipment and services while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Club Fitting & Customization

  • Conduct professional club and ball fittings using advanced technology such as launch monitors and swing analysis tools.
  • Analyze player swing mechanics, ball flight, and impact data to recommend optimal club specifications.
  • Customize clubs by adjusting for loft, lie, length, and grip size to maximize player performance.
  • Educate customers on the advantages of properly fitted equipment and its impact on their game.

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Drive customer engagement by attracting new clients, building a personal client base, and fostering long-term relationships to grow lesson bookings and sales.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by demonstrating expertise, clearly communicating product benefits, and assisting customers in selecting the best equipment to meet their needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional club fitting area, ensuring all equipment and tools are readily accessible for an efficient and seamless fitting experience.
  • Manage inventory, process sales transactions, and track orders to ensure timely fulfillment and accurate service.
  • Build and maintain relationships with golf sales representatives while staying current on the latest product trends and innovations in golf equipment technology.

Facility & Equipment Management

  • Ensure training areas and simulators are properly maintained, calibrated, and set up ahead of each session.
  • Enforce safety and security protocols to protect the facility, equipment, and all occupants, ensuring a safe and professional environment at all times.

Client Engagement & Academy Promotion

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that builds confidence and fosters a love for the game.
  • Stay current with the latest golf industry trends, teaching techniques, club fitting advancements, and technology to continuously enhance instruction quality and equipment recommendations.
  • Foster strong client relationships to promote repeat business, referrals, and long-term engagement, while actively supporting junior player recruitment and retention through effective management of student lists and outreach efforts.
  • Represent GGA at community outreach events, tournaments, and marketing events to expand visibility and attract new clients.
  • Collaborate with golf instructors to integrate club fitting into lesson programs.
  • Support academy operations by assisting with events, clinics, youth programs, and other initiatives as directed by management.
  • Contribute to client growth by building a personal client base and fostering long-term relationships to grow lesson bookings and sales.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of club fitting experience required.
  • 1+ years of sales experience required, preferably involving custom golf equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of golf club brands, models, shafts, and related specifications.
  • Solid understanding of golf techniques, rules, and gameplay, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a fitting context.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using launch monitors and related technology to capture and interpret ball flight and club data.
  • Thorough knowledge of the complete club fitting process, including measurements, equipment selection, and necessary adjustments.
  • Passionate about golf, with a commitment to helping players improve and delivering outstanding service.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical demonstrations as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical capability to build and assemble golf clubs as required.
