How the journey works.
Step by step, milestones turn progress into confidence.
The Beginner Golf Journey is built on clear levels that give juniors a step-by-step way to grow. Each level has defined skills and goals, so progress feels achievable and rewarding. When a player levels up, it’s a moment of pride—they’ve mastered their current drills and earned new challenges. This keeps motivation high, builds confidence, and makes sure no one is left behind. Every junior starts with a Player Assessment so we can place them at the right level from day one.
Player Assessments start them in the right spot
Levels build a clear, steady path forward
Level up moments celebrate effort & growth
Fresh skills & challenges keep training fun
How GGA builds better juniors.
Keep them moving, keep them engaged.
Every zone builds
a different skill.
Instead of spending the entire hour in one spot, juniors rotate between bays, the short game area, and our multipurpose space. Each station targets different skills and keeps the energy fresh. This variety boosts focus, builds well-rounded ability, and gives each player time in every training zone without burnout.
Training that keeps them excited.
Simple tools, real feedback.
See it, feel it,
improve it.
With this squad, coaches lean on simple, proven training aids—targets, hoops, alignment sticks and cones—to turn fundamentals into feel. Kids see start lines, aim to zones, and connect swing cues to ball contact and speed.
Short, focused reps make the “aha” moments stick.
If it builds feel and confidence, we use it.
Real coaching, not crowd control.
Small groups make
a big impact.
Capped at a 4:1 ratio, our sessions give juniors real time with their coach. They get more reps, more answers to their questions, and more personalized adjustments—without getting lost in a crowd.
Because progress doesn’t happen from the back row.
Confidence is a skill, too.
Skills for the
course—and life.
Golf is a mental sport, even for beginners. We teach focus habits, positive self-talk, and how to handle setbacks with confidence. These tools give juniors an edge, whether they’re lining up a putt or tackling challenges off the course.
Better swings start inside the mind.
Fun is the best motivator.
Make it a game
they’ll love for life.
Our approach makes golf exciting from day one. Drills feel like games, milestones are celebrated, and the atmosphere is upbeat. We keep the spark alive so kids want to practice, progress, and play for years to come.
More smiles per swing.
Covering every part of the game.
Fundamentals we teach
every player.
Short Game Skills
From putting to chipping and pitching, juniors learn how to control the clubface, manage distance, and make solid contact to get the ball close from anywhere around the green.
Full Swing Fundamentals
We focus on balanced, repeatable body movements, proper sequencing, and swing mechanics that create consistent ball flight and lasting confidence.
Rules, Terms & Etiquette
Players gain a working knowledge of golf’s essential language, beginner-friendly rules, and on-course etiquette so they can feel comfortable and prepared in any playing environment.
On-Course Play & Testing
Through friendly skill challenges and guided play scenarios, juniors practice applying what they’ve learned while building focus, adaptability, and the ability to perform under light pressure.

Junior beginner golf journey in Las Vegas that builds skills, confidence, and love for the game.
At Gretsch Golf Academy, the Sage Lizards Junior Beginner Golf Journey is built for kids ages 5–12 who are taking their very first swings. This structured journey introduces players to the fundamentals of putting, chipping, and full swing, while building confidence through progress milestones and team support.
